If you’ve worked with me in the last few years, you’ve heard me talk about Scott. After my injury, when my disability insurance broker was not as responsive as I hoped or needed, friends introduced me to Scott Ravitz. There was no real incentive for Scott to help me—he wasn’t my broker, but unbeknownst to me, he’d been going to football games with my brother for a decade and we had several mutual connections. In the days that followed, he became my advocate and friend.

When everything hit the fan, Scott helped me clean up the pieces. Later, Scott and my husband together sat me down and suggested that I should be a disability insurance broker for physicians. Scott helped me see the possibility that I could help people like me.

Scott’s been in the business for 15 years. He knows far more about life insurance than I do. He understands the difference that good insurance can make in people’s lives because he’s living it. Scott’s mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s a few years ago, and the insurance program he secured ensures that she’s physically, emotionally and financially cared for. Insurance isn’t just business for Scott and his family—it’s personal.

I’ve become well-versed in disability insurance out of necessity, but Scott is my secret weapon for life insurance expertise. It’s become clear to me that disability insurance and life insurance go hand-in-hand to protect physicians and their families. Together, Scott and I build on each other’s expertise and advocate for our clients.

For these last few years, we’ve supported each other professionally. Now, I’m excited to announce that Scott Ravitz and I are solidifying our professional partnership.

Moving forward, Stephanie Pearson, MD will be PearsonRavitz.

This partnership between me, an injured physician and disability insurance expert, and Scott, a longtime life insurance pro and my most trusted industry resource, is the best possible match to make sure our physician clients receive the best possible care, information and protection. I know that if I refer someone to Scott, they’re getting the same consideration and advice on life insurance that he would give to his own family and friends.

And, to me, this is what good insurance is all about.
